Pickleball dog costume sells out at Target
The pickleball playing dog costume is undoubtedly the most popular dog costume I’ve seen this Halloween season – and it’s not just because I’m a pickleball player. I swear I saw this costume at least four times during Halloweekend and I don’t even live in the suburbs.
The Target pickleball dog costume is part of their pet Halloween costume line and their pickleball player sold out well before October 31 in every size. That means that dogs and cats across the nation are all showing up to their Halloween parties in matching costumes. Who wore it best? The terrier, the labradoodle, or the corgi?
Well, they all look adorable either way.
The costume itself is just delightful. With a bright green t-shirt with “pickleball” written on the front, with little arms that hold a paddle and pickleball, and a headpiece with gray hair on the top. I mean come on, that is solid gold.
Every breed looks so delightful in this costume. I can't stop laughing in the best possible way over this pup's pickleball look.
The fact that this pet costume sold out is yet another example of just how much people love pickleball. They love it so much that they will even dress up their pet as their favorite court sport for Halloween.
Not to be controversial, but I’m not seeing tennis costumes on the neighborhood labs, bulldogs, or shepherds while trick-or-treating.
But it’s clear that not only do the owners love pickleball, but their pets love it too. There’s countless adorable and humorous posts of pets sitting courtside while their owners are playing pickleball.
There’s even this one where Teddy “plays the left side” with incredible focus and determination.
I hope Teddy’s wearing the pickleball dog costume tonight.
There’s also Barkley who’s known to chew on his parent’s broken pickleballs after a long day out on the court.
But I think we can officially say that our pets love pickleball as much as we do. And if we dress them up as pickleball players, your neighborhood could have quite the competitive league of pet pros. Either way, they’ll definitely win the costume contest.
Happy Halloween!
